Wait for Luna Raye, Paperback

Luna Raye is a sloth in the Amazon rain forest who spends her days watching the other animals play on the forest floor. She longs to join them but feels that she is too slow to be able to share in their fun.

One day, her friends Mitzi the Marmoset and Sosie the Squirrel Monkey talk her into coming down to play. Her worries are soon laid to rest when her newfound friends entrust her with all the things that are different and unique about each of them, and teach her that she has gifts to bring to the group that could benefit them all.

It is a message of acceptance and inclusion. It teaches the reader that everyone has value and that friendships are based on love of others regardless of challenges or differences.
