This brief undergraduate-level text by a prominent Cambridge-educated mathematician explores the relationship between algebra and geometry. An elementary course in plane geometry is the sole requirement for Gilbert de B. Gilbert de B. Robinson (1906-92) was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Toronto for more than four decades. During WWII, he conducted top-secret government work on codes and cyphers, for which he received Britain's MBE award.
