The woman at the heart of this novel was a chameleon. A character trait she shared with her husband Jim. They were a couple envied by others in public and celebrated together in private. It appeared effortless. Jim never fathomed being alone ever again, but suddenly he was forced to come up with something.

About the Author

John Bumiller III was raised in a small, insular, working class town in northern New Jersey. After graduating college in Ohio, he moved to New York City, where he lived for the next twenty years. He now resides in Winston-Salem, NC and travels up north often to visit family and close friends.
