Based on his extensive experience as an educator, F. G. F. G. Tricomi (1897-1978) was a Professor of Mathematics who taught at universities in Rome, Florence, and Turin. The author of 15 books and over 300 research papers, he made significant contributions to many areas of mathematics. His other Dover book is Integral Equations (64828-1).
