Sandra Gatejeanu-Gheorghe este diplomat de cariera. Din noiembrie 2023 ocupa functia de consul general al Romaniei la Barcelona. In cadrul Ministerului Afacerilor Externe, a condus Directia Protocol in perioada 2019–2023 si a gestionat componenta de protocol pentru prima Presedintie a Consiliului UE detinuta de Romania. Vreme de mai bine de zece ani, in perioada 2008–2018, a fost directorul de protocol al Casei Regale a Romaniei, timp in care a asigurat protocolul pentru toate marile evenimente ale Familiei Regale. Este cadru didactic asociat al SNSPA – Departamentul de Relatii Internationale si Integrare Europeana, al ISDE Barcelona, formator in cadrul Institutului National de Administratie si lector in cadrul Institutului Diplomatic Roman. A fost decorata de Regele Mihai I al Romaniei cu Ordinul Coroana Romaniei in grad de Ofiter si Medalia Regele Mihai I pentru loialitate si de catre Presedintele Romaniei cu Ordinul pentru Merit in grad de Cavaler.
