The second of two books exploring the buildings of the north-east of Scotland, this volume surveys Aberdeen - the nation's third-largest city - and the southern area of Aberdeenshire, including the former county of Kincardineshire. Among Aberdeen's architectural highlights are the great medieval cathedral and burgh church of St Nicholas, the buildings of King's College, and magnificent civic, commercial and domestic buildings of the Victorian and Edwardian age.
